Welcome to the home of Lady Bay Ballet.

On September 18th, 2024, Lady Bay Ballet will be celebrating 10 years open! Classes are authentic classical ballet classes and have not been tweaked or become a ballet-fusion with any other dance genre. Here you will experience the wonderful art of classical ballet!

All ballet classes have been specifically created for adults by Mrs Cave who trained at White Lodge the Royal Ballet school, Central School of Ballet & The Royal Academy of Dance.

WHAT CAN TAKING BALLET CLASS DO FOR YOU?

Taking weekly ballet classes can make you feel more energised, as well as being fun you can transform your body into being strong, long, lean and flexible. 

 By using classical ballet technique as a core structure, along with classical ballet exercises you will be training your body through repetition and creating muscle memory.

Ballet Class is a excellent body conditioning class and has many benefits improving joint flexibility, core strength, balance, muscle definition, posture, special awareness, stamina, musicality and confidence. ABOUT LADY BAY BALLET

Lady Bay Ballet is now into its 10th year & proud to cater for adults of any age, ability or experience!

Lady Bay Ballets dancers range from 19-86 years old who attend class each week! Classes are very friendly, encouraging and feel good. 

There is no booking required, all classes are drop in, open to all adults and pay as you go!

In 2016 Lady Bay Ballet was recognised by BBC Radio Nottingham producers who came to interview Mrs Cave & its adult dancers in class, resulting in a fantastic piece that was broadcast on BBC Radio.

In 2017 Mrs Cave was invited to come to the studios at BBC Radio Nottingham for a live interview with Alan Clifford. Going forward In September 2019 Notts TV came to Lady Bay Ballet studio to meet all the wonderful dancers and film the class in action which was aired on Notts TV.

 

FOUNDER AND BALLET TEACHER

Mrs Caves passion for dancing began at a very young age, and was called ‘merry legs’ within her family! Her first professional job was at ten years old in Snow White, on Liverpools Empire.

After attending the Royal Ballets (JA’s) Junior Associates program in Manchester for one year she BEGAN her professional ballet training at eleven years old at White Lodge- The Royal Ballet School in Richmond Park.

Here she trained and was taught by the very best in the classical ballet world. For five years she trained to the highest standard in classical ballet and had many unique opportunities performing on the Royal opera house and Holland park, with her first solo/duet at eleven years old in the RBs Swan Lake.

Mrs Cave successfully graduated after five years at White Lodge. She continued her professional training for over two years at Central School of Ballet and developed a love for the neo classical style haven been chosen to perform a brand new work at the Tate Gallery in london.

She went on to explore musical theatre and after some years of gaining more stage experience in 2014 she felt a strong calling to share her classical ballet training with adults, creating unique classical ballet classes exclusively for adults of any age, any abilIty and experience, classes would be created supported with her own classical ballet training and professional experiences on and off stage as a dancer.

In 2014 mrs cave returned to london to study for a professional dancers teachers diploma- (PDTD), at The Royal Academy of Dance. In 2014 Lady Bay Ballet was born and on Wednesday 18th September 2024 Lady Bay Ballet will be celebrating ten years open!
